Live Transcoding¶
Click Live Transcoding, which is the second portal module.
The Live module of the LMS Portal has four sub-modules; Create a job for event, Create a job for linear TV, Current Jobs, and
Transcoding Presets.
1 Create a job for event
- Input your app name and stream name. Only letters, numbers, and underline
- Select input format from RTMP or SRT, or SRT Unicast
- Multiple select output format from 4 options: RTMP, and HTTP-FLV, and HLS, and DASH
Noted: There are some encryption or DRM on HLS or DASH. a. HLS + AES128
b. HLS + FairPlay
c. DASH + Widevine or PlayReady
- Enable GPU Transcoding. If this option is unselected, CPU Transcoding is as default.
Noted: Default is CPU transcoding. Once this option is selected, GPU transcoding for current job is enable. GPU transcoding is not able to be enabled as default until it is subscribed in Partner/Customer module.
- Enable Transmuxing only, Audio only options or select at least a transcoding preset from Transcoding Presets which are configured in Live Transccoding/Transcoding Presets in advance.
- Enable or disable Live Recording
Now HLS and MP4 are supported formats meanwhile SwiftServe CDN, FTP, SFTP and S3 are supported storage for live recording. Select Recording as HLS or
Recording as MP4 at first and then complete the information of storage for the recording file of this live job.
- Enable or disable Live Screenshot
Now JPG is the supported format for live screenshot. Select Screenshot as JPG at first and then complete the information of storage for the snapshots file of this live job.
- Enable or disable Time Shifting
This function enables a time-shifting stream which is a live stream carrying time- delayed reruns of its "parent" channel's programming. This stream runs alongside their parent.
- Click Submit to get response content.
- Response content will present Push URL, and delivery URLs.
Noted: Stream must be pushed to above Push URL including token. Also these outbound URLs should be combined with delivery domain of CDN edge which should have integrated with LMS already if necessary.
