Email Outlook Setup Guide

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for configuring your business email in Microsoft Outlook desktop application.

Prerequisites

  • Microsoft Outlook installed on your computer
  • Business email account credentials
  • Mail server configuration details from VNETWORK technical team

Configuration Steps

Step 1: Access Account Settings

Open Outlook, select File in the top-left corner, then select Info and choose Add Account.

Step 2: Manual Setup

In the dialog box that appears, select Let me set up account manually and then click Connect.

Step 3: Account Configuration

Enter complete account information:

Account Settings:

  • Account type: Select IMAP (Recommended)

Account Type Selection

  • Email address: Enter your business email address (e.g., user1@vnetwork.dev). Do not use personal email addresses
  • Incoming mail server / Outgoing mail server: Contact VNETWORK technical team for accurate mail server information

Port Configuration:

For IMAP:

  • Incoming mail port: 143 (No SSL) or 993 (SSL)
  • Outgoing mail port: 25 (No SSL), 465 (SSL), or 587 (STARTTLS)

For POP3:

  • Incoming mail port: 110 (No SSL) or 995 (SSL)
  • Outgoing mail port: 25 (No SSL), 465 (SSL), or 587 (STARTTLS)

Step 4: Authentication

The next window will require entering your email account password. Enter the password and click Connect to complete the setup process.

Completion

After completing the above steps, your email account will be successfully configured in Outlook. You can now send and receive emails using your business email account through the Outlook desktop application.
